On Friday 10th August we enjoyed a fabulous day out at Killermont with 27 members playing. As usual we were treated tremendously well with excellent catering and refreshments. The course was also in excellent condition even with the recent prolonged dry spell of weather we have had.  Thanks to Graham Scott and Stuart Clark for arranging the outing with Killermont.

The winner of the Centenary Trophy with the highest stableford score was Gavin Scullion with 40 points.  Alan Hewitson and Stuart McPhail were 2nd and 3rd  with 39 and 37 points respectively.

Winner of the Pesioners Putter with a score of 39 points was Alan Hewitson, with 2nd and 3rd places going to Graham Stevenson and  Ian Murchison with 35 and 34 points.

Closest to the pin prize was won by Bobby Roberts and the longest drive was won by Peter Kingett.

We also had a raffle for our Charity of the Year – Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity and raised a further £140.  Thanks to everyone for their support.

Look forward to seeing many of you at our next outing which is to the Castle Course at St Andrews on Monday 27thAugust.

Regards,

Alan Turner, Captain 2018
