Pollok Results

This year our summer evening outing was contested on the lush fairways of Pollok Golf Club on Wednesday 20th June. Our 15 competitors battled it out under the clear skies of Glasgow’s southside to get their name on the Summer Cup. The course was in fantastic condition and we were treated to spectacular views of Pollok House and Country Park as we played.

Playing conditions were excellent as it stayed dry and sunny for the majority of the round, which resulted in all bar one golfer (who shall remain nameless) scoring in the 30s in a stableford format.

Pollok GC looked after us well and are keen to have us back at the club next year. Thanks to Stuart Cameron for co-ordinating the event and the arrangements on behalf of the Club.

Results

In 1st place playing in only his second outing since joining as a new member, the winner of The Summer Cup is Colin Grant with 35 points

2nd place, also with 35 points and missing out to Colin on the better inward half, is Stuart McPhail

3rd place was shared by Alex Aitkenhead, Capt Alan Turner & Graham Cartwright, all scoring 34 points
