Our visit to Largs G.C. proved most enjoyable and the course provided a stiff test for all who attended. The winner by the narrowest of margins was Ian Mackie who used all his local knowledge to good effect. The winning score was 34 stableford points.  Bobby Roberts was runner up with 33 points.

Ian also won the longest drive, despite the array of long hitters in attendance! Calum McLean lifted the nearest the pin prize, which I am reliably informed by his playing partners was well deserved.

Captain Stuart & VC Alan

All in all a good day, good course, good company and good sustanance. One not so good point to note was the unfortunate incident involving Past Captain Eric who put his back out lifting Calum’s  tournament size bag and clubs into his car boot resulting in him having to abandon the trip to Largs! Hope you are back swinging soon Eric and fit for West Kilbride.

Race to West Kilbride

Largs was the 6th of our outings and the leader Board has been updated to show the players who have recorded the highest total points from any 5 of the outings.  The top scores can be seen here –  Race to West Kilbride.  Graham Scott is sitting in 3rd place but has only played in 4 outings so provided he can play in our final outing of the year is in a commanding position to pick up the trophy!
