We had a very successful outing to Southerness Golf Club on Monday 29th May 2017. While the weather was wet for some of the time and windy for most of the time the players managed to complete the majority of the round in mainly dry weather. The course was in excellent condition and enjoyed by all the competitors. The wind did make for challenging playing conditions but we did end up with 3 top scores of 31 Stableford points and nearly all of the 17 players managed to achieve more than 20 points which, on this championship links course as it played on Monday was an excellent performance.

The 3 players with 31 points were Graham Cartwright, Alan Roberston, & Derek MacDonald but there can only be one winner. Based on better inward half the winner of the John Chisholm Quaich was Graham Cartwright. Graham (left) is pictured here on the signature 12th hole at Southerness playing with a suitably attired Stuart Mair.

Thanks to everyone involved in making the event a success and in particular to Southerness Golf Club for looking after us so well.
